As a Billups Media Account Supervisor, you’ll be part of a team that’s delivering innovative planning, direction and oversight for out-of-home executions. You’ll be tasked with not just planning, but helping to create targeted OOH strategies using modern tools. You’ll work directly with clients to nurture long-term relationships as their partner, helping them with strategy, planning, purchasing and sometimes pitching OOH options. As part of Billups, you’ll be on the cutting-edge of innovation as an early adopter of Boohma, a revolutionary planning software.

Responsibilities

Client Role

  • Supervise and manage the daily workload of several OOH media clients with a focus on strategic and efficient OOH planning
  • Manage all programs from inception to completion to ensure the highest level of quality assurance, performance and innovation
  • Maintain and master an understanding of Billups planning and buying processes
  • Steward client interest in the areas of delivering strategic media recommendations, market knowledge and audience insights
  • Sustain strong market knowledge and understanding of the OOH media landscape
  • Remain well versed in new technologies and marketplace trends in order to strategically apply ideas to client business as well as to proactively construct new ideas/opportunities

Planning / Buying Role

  • Seeks innovation and integration with all formats of OOH including but not limited to traditional, non traditional, experiential, digital and events
  • Responsible for composing, proofing and ensuring high quality deliverables of media plans.
  • Works closely with all members of the team to ensure all aspects of day-to-day projects are being met
  • Collaborates with production and buying teams to ensure smooth implementation of the execution of the plan
  • Maintain accuracy across all necessary financial documents (plans, decks, media authorizations)
  • Produce and distribute all client media authorizations
  • Maintain basic knowledge of the Billups billing process in order to avoid/resolve any discrepancies
  • Work with AD/RD and Investment team to drive the negotiation process across multiple markets and media vendor buys to maximize client budgets
  • Work with AD/RD to maintain accurate budget trackers and forecasting for assigned accounts, agencies and brands

Communication & Relationship Development

  • Seeks out new opportunities to apply to client needs as well as future client needs
  • Shares new ideas and opinions on industry (news, media, vehicles, etc.)
  • Inspires and encourages team to recommend organic opportunities within the team and accounts

  • Select and use appropriate communication methods to meet needs that apply to the current situation.

  • Work collaboratively in planning sessions/discussions with media agency counterparts regarding strategy and approach; providing leadership, consultation and acting as a voice for OOH media
  • Work with agency cross functional teams to deliver cohesive ideas and strategies and to monitor programs from start to finish
  • Establish and maintain client, agency and vendor relationships with an emphasis on gaining trust and respect by consistently demonstrating critical thinking and composure in stressful situations
  • Mentor media planners & coordinators on strategic planning principles and processes
  • Maintain punctual, regular and predictable attendance
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation
  • Respectfully take direction from manager

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in media planning
  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing or related media field
  • Experience in planning across the out-of-home landscape
  • Agency and/or vendor experience preferred
  • Knowledge of media planning across all forms of media and industry
  • Media plan development skills and fine tuning logical writing
  • Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal, relationship skills; proficient use and understanding of English language
  • Excellent knowledge in all media systems and resources including MRI, Adviews, Scarborough, IMS (R/F), SRDS, Nielsen, Arbitron, Map Point and Telmar
  • Mastery in advanced media math
  • Understanding of media terminology and can apply it to media math
  • Develops presentation presence and negotiating skills
  • Independent and self-motivated, yet also team-oriented
  • Must be organized with the ability to multi-task and excel in a fast moving culture
  • Demonstrates core values, desired competencies and behaviors at all times
