Billups is an out-of-home ad-tech company with the largest managed service team in the US, pioneering and leading marketplace for advertisers and suppliers to reach their audience using all types of OOH media, from digital to experiential.

That’s where you come in. We’re looking for a Regional Director to deliver incredible results. Whether it’s traditional OOH, DOOH or experiential, you’ll be working directly with clients at the forefront of a company dedicated to transforming the OOH industry.

As a Billups Regional Director, you will be leading teams who deliver strategic planning, direction and growing client relationships. The Regional Director serves as the liaison within the region to help facilitate communication between the team and Managing Director. This includes providing both strategic and tactical leadership in the region as well as direct management of assigned team including delegating, coaching and problem solving.

Responsibility for regional KPI performance including revenue growth, budget oversight, salaries and expense report management. Be ready to also collaborate with Business Directors and Regional Directors on new business opportunities. We count on the Regional Director to work directly with key accounts nurturing and managing long-term relationships while also creating organic growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the regional team by overseeing all day-to-day client workload, meeting client deliverable requirements, setting goals and expectations to provide the highest quality work and ensuring client satisfaction while utilizing creative problem-solving skills
  • Identify opportunities to improve department, team and workflow processes
  • Work with the Managing Director to maintain accurate budget trackers and forecasting for assigned accounts, agencies and brands
  • Fully support and communicate all Billups company initiatives and core partnerships
  • Adopt and advocate new technologies and emerging realities within the company by establishing and training all processes and procedures to create consistency within region
  • Champion the Billups Academy to facilitate team training and identify growth opportunities
  • Lead performance evaluations
  • Responsible for account and new business assignments to the appropriate team members

Planning / Buying

  • Maintain and master an understanding of Billups planning and buying processes: RFP, media plan components, competitive analysis, media authorizations and contracting, production specifications and shipping recaps, posting instructions, monitoring of posting process, proof of performance
  • Ability to optimize media recommendations based upon Billups’ service offerings and capabilities including attribution reporting and apply learnings for future campaigns
  • Drive the negotiation process across multiple markets and media supplier buys to maximize client budgets
  • Maintain expert market knowledge and understanding of the OOH media landscape
  • Oversee collaborative efforts across all Billups functions and departments engaging resources early to ensure optimal performance
  • Identify and implement best practices towards delivering better outputs
  • Maintain basic knowledge of the Billups billing process and maintain accuracy across all necessary financial documents including plans, decks, media authorizations

Idea Generation

  • Work collaboratively with other Regional Directors and their Managing Directors across the company to share learnings, processes, team training, and other best practices in order to advance the Managed Services team
  • Identify new partners and services to advance client growth
    Maintain relationships with regional clients to advance their needs and grow our relationship
  • Collaborate with various Billups teams (HR, product, sciences, marketing, etc) by providing direct feedback or participating in one or more of the many internal improvement groups.

Communication

  • A deliberate and skilled presenter with demonstrated ability to engage clients of all levels including C-suite and marketing executives
  • Lead all types of meetings including client, interdepartmental and intradepartmental as well as brainstorms
  • Demonstrate outstanding oral and written communication skills

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in media planning and development with strong emphasis of experience in out of home media
  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing or related media field
  • Full-service media experience and comfort with media planning across all forms of media and industry
  • Experience in hiring, managing and leading a team
  • Agency experience preferred
  • Proven ability to anticipate client needs
  • Ability to demonstrate a focused and strategic approach in plan development, integration and execution
  • Capable of interacting and building relationships with team and departments of all levels and industry backgrounds, from the CEO to administrative support staff
  • Knowledge of all media vehicles and ad platforms with emphasis on positive and negative attributes and how they apply to various marketing situations
  • Flexible and effective problem solver
  • Extensive experience with media planning and buying as well as media research tools
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all functions and departments
  • Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal, presentation and relationship skills; proficient use and understanding of the English language
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Keynote is preferred
  • Independent and self-motivated, yet also team-oriented
  • Must be organized with ability to multi-task and excel in a fast-moving culture
