Angie Cutter, APAC's Managing Director
As Billups’s Managing Director of Southeast Asia, can you share your insight on the company’s development and potential in this exciting region?
Our data attribution platform is an exciting development that goes beyond anything we’ve previously had in Asia; I think it will be our champion for this year, helping us educate clients and vendors on our impressive market capabilities.
The platform is a tool to activate new business and opportunities, and we think it will be the best thing that’s happened to the OOH industry in this region.
In your opinion, what are some of the key challenges that women in the out-of-home advertising industry face when striving for leadership roles, and what steps is Billups taking to address these challenges?
This is a loaded question. Out-of-Home feels like a very male-dominated industry, but in my region, we don’t have any issues.
After 24 years in the industry, I’ve learned it’s about having passion for what you do. Beyond wanting to drive the industry and grow your business, you need to be a fighter to succeed in OOH.
How do you approach team building to ensure that diverse talents are not only identified but also effectively integrated and utilized within Billups?
In Malaysia, we prioritize regular team building lunches and activities that help us better understand and bond with each other.
The Malaysian team is very culturally and gender diverse, with members of Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim, and Christian faiths all working together to achieve common goals.
